Pajamas Exposed
If you are a blogger and you don’t really read Glenn Reynolds or Roger Simon, thereby missing the news, you may want to check out this announcement, this followup, and heck, this post is kind of interesting, if not relevant to signing up for the scheme as a blogger. I hadn’t realized it would be announced publicly this soon, but hey, I’m a little slow sometimes.
Update:
This discussion provides additional good background information about the concept and the thinking that led to it.
Your Daily Sadie, Antics and Cookies, Oh My
Sadie has had a busy couple of days. She stands up in the tub now, holding the end. She crawled into the base under the exersaucer and was quite pleased with herself, playing there a while. She let go of the coffee table completely, standing unsupported for a few seconds while beaming proudly “look what I can do” at her mother and then successfully grabbing the table again without falling. She sits down more gracefully and is less likely to have an uncontrolled fall. She’s gotten super fast at crawling and will now go all over the house freely. Yesterday marked the start of keeping the bathroom door closed, and it seems we may at last need to buy a gate or two.
However, the biggest thing involved food.
One of our favorite things in the world is the Keebler Sandies Fruit Delights in the strawberry/cheesecake flavor. The apple is good, but not nearly as addictive. They are outrageously expensive, so we have them only rarely, on sale or possibly at Super Wal-Mart prices.
They’ve been advertising two new flavors. I happened to notice the cookie aisle at the regular Wal-Mart in Avon the other night, looked to see if they had them cheap, and sure enough, they were $2 a package and the store had only the new raspberry/white fudge and lemon flavors. That’s nearly 50% off the normal store price. Naturally I grabbed one of each, so we could try them and as a surprise for Deb.
The night before last, we had eaten supper and then were munching on a few of the raspberry cookies, which are quite possibly as good as the strawberry. Sadie freaked out and insisted she had to have one!
She’s not had puffs or other more solid food yet, and any time there is too much solid texture to her food she seems unhappy.
No matter. She happily chewed away at it and ate half the cookie. She loved it! This was not the plan for introducing solid finger foods, but hey, the texture and solubility was right.
The whole thing was pretty comical in a disconcerting, growing up too fast sort of way.

Me Too
|
Your Birthdate: April 3 |
|
Being born on the 3rd day of the month is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life. The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental. There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, “couldn’t care less” attitude. You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression. Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing. You are energetic and always a good conversationalist. You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters. You are affectionate and loving, but sometimes too sensitive. You are subject to rapid ups and downs. |
