The antics of John McCain
Now relegated to Blogblivion...Tuesday, May 23, 2006
Ah, but will the little people be allowed to talk about it before an election?
McCain believes in nuclear power.

Comments Aren’t Meant to Be Broken
Since James has broken comments today (please do not access this page directly? WTF, over?), the following is my comment on this post:
Romney has zero chance of winning. I can’t even see him getting the nomination. He will probably be the cause of the great run of republican governors coming to an end in Massachusetts, and may as well be a democrat given his lack of appreciation of stuff like reality.
And yeah, sad indeed for him to be one of the more attractive potential candidates, but I could say the same thing for the Evil McCain.
I do agree about the religion issue, but that’s like adding gravy.

Terrifying Coincidence of the Day
Pat Robertson and I share an opinion of John McCain.
Frightening.

McCain’s Gonna Love This
Via Kevin, there is now an Online Coalition site, representing bloggers of all political stripes, in an effort to keep the internet a zone in which the First Amendment still actually applies.
I’m the only signer of the petition from Massachusetts so far. Care to join me? Whatever state you’re from, it’s important to keep the modern day pamphleteers and partisan agitators at least as free as they were in colonial days.
See Kevin’s post for more details, or just go read the coalition page.

Meanwhile, Steven Taylor has a radical idea.
Here’s an idea: why not just let everyone raise as much money as they want and spend it on speech and then we could all, you know, listen to the debate and think about it and stuff and then make up, like, our own minds?
Senator Control Freak Rides Again
I haven’t wandered lately into the utter mess that is anything surrounding John McCain, but I have been giggling secretly as he becomes the target of his own style of witchhunt (well, except that we still let *him* speak *his* piece, but minor details...heh). There are plenty of folks taking up my slack--or rather, doing it better than I would have done anyway--including Winfield Myers at Democracy Project, who has some information about Mr. McCain’s, er, issues that’s worth taking a look at.
Of course, you’ve probably already looked, since I ran across this at Michelle Malkin’s place, which miraculously loaded for me this morning, but what the heck. Heh.

Evil
Deb is busy feeding the baby, but I think she would agree that this is a good example of why John McCain is a vile, evil man who should never be elected to any office, ever again.
Not to mention why McCain-Feingold is hopelessly unconstitutional, along no doubt with at least some of the preceding laws that took us in that direction.

Hey, it’s another source of greehouse gasses!
I knew McCain’s name would come up as soon I saw that his buddy Chucky Hagel was blowing enough hot air to warm the globe himself.
To wit:
Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., have proposed legislation mandating carbon dioxide reductions. They also would cap overall emissions but let countries trade permits, like credits, with less-polluting countries.
Because a back-door implementation of Kyoto will save the world. Not.

Hillary ‘08 (Yeah, I stole the title, but it fits!)
There’s a comment thread at Dean Esmay’s place that’s shaping up to be interesting...Hillary ‘08 is the topic, and it’s a favorite of mine recently. I think she’d make a strong candidate, and not because I think “my side” can whip her. In fact, I think there’s a very good chance that she’ll be our next president.
I think some of our readers will probably be shocked by this, but like some folks in that thread, I would vote for Mrs. Clinton over some supposed Republicans, including John McCain.
I’ll have to elaborate on this later (I should probably wait for 2007, but I know I won’t
), but in the meantime you might be interested in wandering over to Dean’s.

ROFL!
Via Walter in Denver, John McCain.

And nobody wants to talk about repealing the 17th.
What, does Lott think agreeing with MCain will make people like him or something? Or is this some other brand of idiotic swagger? Only time will tell, I suppose.
In the meantime, I like the advice Glenn has for McCain and his evil sidekick Hagel. Heh. Indeed.

He knows the way to my heart.
Nathan’s got yet another example of John McCain being a nasty little bully.
Nathan, you keep finding ‘em, I’ll keep linking ‘em. Gladly.

Have I mentioned lately that I loathe John McCain?
Nathan’s got another reason why.
