Carnival of the Vanities Is Up
So I was thinking Wednesday that Carnival of the Vanities doesn’t seem to have the problems that have cropped up with Carnival of the Capitalists lately, and at other times in the past. That is, anticapitalist sentiments, spurious exclusion of entries, disruptive and disturbing experiments, complaints that hosting is too much effort, complaints that it is too popular, that sort of thing. I decided that it must be a combination of CotV being more laid back, no larger than CotC has become, and it being unquestionably inclusionary.
Lo and behold, no sooner did I give a thought to comparing them than controversy erupted. Laurence has posted a reform edition CotV as a result of a rather rogue official edition.
It’s nice not to be supervising this one.
