$2.27 a Gallon
That was the low price I saw yesterday, both at the little old full serve station that always beats the rest, and at Cumberland Farms, which is usually the third tier up in price. The second tier is a big generic self serve off the Middleboro Rotary. I forget, but I think they were $2.29, which is what the Hess across from cumbies was. That was where I got gas, as it wasn’t worth 8 cents to cross the intersection and back with a couple of left turns. Another station local to the apartment was $2.29, and the Mobil across from it was $2.44; a bigger disparity than usual. The Mobil stations on route 24, normally higher than secondary road gas, were $2.39, and have sometimes been among the lowest recently. The rapid shifts, now downward rather than upward, have really skewed who charges what.
In VA it has been as low as $2.13.
