A Year Ago
One year ago, we drove from Fresno to Indio, so we weren’t out of California yet, but we were on the way. I didn’t post the first update about it, to my surprise, until the 5th, after which there were regular trip updates the family and other readers followed.
I’m trying to remember the why of the timing, as I seem to recall Deb had to be moved out of her old apartment by the end of the month, and I thought we stayed only one night with her family. I know there was a rain delay, and packing went right up to the last minute in part, unknown to most then, because Deb had been so out of it from the pregnancy hitting like a ton of bricks.
Anyway, just a quick post to note the day. Maybe more later or on the subsequent days.
it was rain rain rain, for a long time.
Deb had pictures on her blog.When it finally quit it was afternoon and we got you laoded before dark and you headed out.
It was well after dark when we finished emptying the apartment of what was left and cleaned it.
Hitting the road was the thing to do cause on that long a trip every mile counts and I don’t see how you could’ve stood just waiting around for morning.
