Last night I finally broke down and watched American Idol.
And I liked it. 
It is rather entertaining..if not to just listen to Simon!

Posted by Ith on 02/03 at 08:16 PMI’ve always found the auditions to be hilarious, particularly those folks having an overinflated idea of how good they are. Most of them are all flash and no talent. Many couldn’t carry a tune if it had handles on it.
But the part I like best are what I call “The Unexpecteds”, those folks who look ordinary (or even less than ordinary) but have incredible voices. More than once I’ve seen the judges (with the exception of Simon) looking awestruck at big voices coming out of ‘little’ people. One from the San Francisco that stands out was the little Asian girl (about 4’10") dressed like a stripper but with a powerful, but untrained voice. It will be interesting to see how far she goes.
