Defending the Indefensible…
Is soon going to mean any attempt to defend, protect and accurately apply the Constitution.
Dean has a good example of one reason I am opposed to “sexual offender” registries. At least if you are initially wrongfully convicted, when your sentence is done, it’s done.
As I have posted here before, the punishment is the punishment. If we as a society don’t believe the punishment is sufficient, we should see that it gets increased for future offenders. You know, there is the little matter of ex post facto laws being unconstitutional. One might even call the registries cruel and unusual. As well as being the top of a slippery slope.
