Grayson
I meant to post about this ages ago, never got around to it, and in thinking about what I could say this morning, it came to mind.
Grayson. I want to see it. The movie. Which apparently exists only as a plan for a movie if funding can be raised based on the lengthy trailer.
Since there is no movie yet, watch the trailer. Woe to those lacking in broadband, for whom the 135 megabyte high resolution download is unbearably large.
Naturally the idea of the story intrigues me. Who killed Batman? How did Robin end up married to Barbara Gordon? How did the police become bad guys? Heck, how did Clark Kent become a “bad guy” shades of Dark Knight Returns? What are Wonder Woman et al doing in this movie?
Watch the trailer.
Visit Untamed Cinema, where there are other goodies. Just click on Movies and then Grayson from the main page.
I read the novelization of the sweeping Batman series “No Man’s Land”. In that one, it appears that Nightwing (Dick Grayson’s new identity, as Robin is now someone named Tim Drake) has a thing with Oracle (who used to be Batgirl). I gather that, in some point between NML and Grayson, they got married and had a child.
I very much enjoyed the Grayson trailer, especially how they worked in nearly everyone, and how Superman is the “mini-boss” before the “big boss”. And the ORIGINAL Penguin. But I hated hated HATED the horrible dialogue they gave Kimberly Page (Catwoman).
Side note on that: one of my employees knows her personally, and while she says Kimberly is a very nice person, she has absolutely no acting chops. While with WCW, they tried to teach her to act, but it just didn’t take, so my employee says.
She certainly fills out the costume well, though, doesn’t she?
