To blogger Paul Burgess, who willingly tells us he is 49, and has a rundown of what he was doing in some other years at this time. He pines for a flying car, and makes me wonder whether he’s looking forward to the movie version of Fantastic Four.

Jay, thanks! This is the last birthday where I get to be forty-something, next comes the big five-oh.
The Fantastic Four movie? Yes, I saw a preview at the theater, can’t wait!
As for flying cars, I just naturally got the impression from the Jetsons when I was a kid that they would be one of the hallmarks of 21st century life… So here it is, 2005, and where are the flying cars???
