How About Nobody?
I was hoping that the revived Batman films starting with Batman Begins would exclude Robin, at least for an extended time.
That said, and still fervently hoped, intriguing choice for Robin...
You want to see an awesome portrayal of Robin? Watch this movie by downloading it from TheForce: http://www.theforce.net/fanfilms/nonsw/grayson/
It’s basically a five-minute trailer for a movie about Dick Grayson. It pulls together about a dozen DC characters, including Superman, Catwoman (played by DDP’s wife Kimberly Page), Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Joker, Penguin (Burgess Meredith Penguin, no less), and a few others. It’s great.
I would love to see some studio go to them and say, “make this movie”, and then they put a disclaimer at the start that says:
“This film is not to be considered canon in the Batman franchise. It is simply an exploration of what could happen.”
Or something.
Great fanfilm though.
As for Robin… well… I was never much a fan of the character anyway; I like him much better as Nightwing. The more characters you introduce into Batman’s sphere of influence, the more likely you are to lose the storytelling to the characterization, which is what happened in Batman IV.
I think Chris Marquette (Joan of Arcadia) would be an interesting choice.

Chris Marquette… oooh. More inherent “edge” to him than Muniz, I would think.
