I suspect we have our athlete.
Much as we suspect that Sadie will be our geek child, it’s starting to look like Valerie may well be the athletic child. She’ll be five months old the 21st--2 weeks from now--and she’s just blasting right through the gross motor milestones. It’s getting a little ridiculous. Today’s tricks: sitting up propped on one hand, using the other one to play with something...and pushing herself up to that position in the first place. Startled the hell out of me when I laid her down on the floor on her back earlier and went to get a drink of water...walked back into the room and she was sitting up! Then she did it again, and again. The girl is determined to catch up with Sadie. Sister’s got a 16 month head start? No problem!
She also got her first ride in a stroller today, because Jay came home last night with this, which *woo-hoo!*, and she got a great big kick out of it. Can I just tell you how nice it is to take them for a walk without wearing one of them? It’s really, really nice. And the stroller is lighter and more manuverable than it looks. It’s awesome, just awesome.
