Logic most non-chronological: Narnia edition
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe comes first. This is not and has never been up for debate in my corner of the universe. Here’s a great article that outlines why I’m right and the publisher--and everybody else who disagrees--is wrong.
That is correct as far as I know.. speaking of that I need to read them again soon..
Anyway The Magicians Nephew was the last book in the series.. And its a prequal....
That is all.. hehePosted by Wayne on 10/29 at 05:20 PMThat’s what I’ve always thought, but the boxed set I have has it second.
At least I’m not nuts.
Posted by Steven Taylor on 10/29 at 11:17 PMThe ordering was changed around 1995.
And The Magician’s Nephew was not last, it was the penultimate book, number six, in order of composition. The last book was The Last Battle.
While I happened to like Nephew, and while I read Prince Caspian first, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is the best introductory volume.

Posted by Bogie on 10/30 at 08:12 AMWhen I first read the Chronicles of Narnia, over 30 years ago, I of course read them starting with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe— that is, in the order in which Lewis wrote them.
That is the order in which they stand on my bookshelf to this day, and it remains the right order in which to read them. Regardless of what the publisher may think.
