Milestone Time
Valerie is sleeping on her belly. More comfortably and deeply than she normally sleeps, which is great. She’s lucky ever to get naps with Sadie around, and her greater noise sensitivity than Sadie ever had.
In the course of about a week she has learned to roll over both ways, gotten good at it, become able to play with the toys in the saucer and move herself around in it more or less at will, gotten good at putting stuff in her mouth to sooth the teething, become able to squirm right out of the car seat if she wants, used being in the seat for leverage to essentially crawl off the head end of it so she could explore the adjacent wall and radiator (cute pictures not yet posted), made it clear she knows her name, made it clear she knows the word bath, figured out she can get us to take specific actions for her, and gotten excited about the idea of real food on schedule. Plus whatever I might have forgotten. And she’s gotten even harder to entertain and prevent from being bored. She loves looking out windows, or listening to music, or sometimes watching TV, especially if there’s music, or watching what Sadie is doing.
