Our baby Sadie of the sleepless night.
I am absolutely amazed at how quickly I got spoiled when the Sadie started sleeping all night. (Ooooooh, remind me to post about how we managed that one. Ferber fight! LOL!) Anyway, for some reason she just wouldn’t settle last night...she was up the first time before we’d even made it to bed, and followed that up with a two o’clock and three o’clock waking, both of which my absolutely ridiculously amazing husband handled. By about quarter after three, though, it was apparent that she wanted Mommy, so I brought her to bed to nurse. Of course, when I went to put her back in the crib, she woke up and screamed bloody murder. So I took her out in the living room and watched Antiques Roadshow while she halfheartedly nursed her way back to sleep. Got back to sleep about quarter after four and had cross dreams.
It’s just amazing to me that one night’s short sleep has turned me into a gibbering idiot. I keep seeing things I’d like to post about, but I’m having trouble putting the sentences together in a nice, logical way.
Oh, well. It’s Friday anyway.
I know exactly what you mean. One night of “interupted” sleep just throws everything off. Weird how that works.
Posted by Sharon on 04/22 at 03:13 PMIsn’t it amazing how you can go on almost NO sleep at all for two months and then one nasty night makes you feel like a zombie? However, the lack of sleep might explain why I remember very little from my son’s first months!
The Boy started sleeping through the night at seven weeks (I’m a Babywise follower!! How’s that for a fight?) and man, we are spoiled!!
I’ve long held that babies should have digital read-outs for when there are problems...but, if you are not sure what it is...my recent experiences would lead me to say it could be a) a growth spurt b) teething, or c) and ear infection or other illness.
Hope this helps!
