Sadie Antics
Sadie is so far ahead in understanding what is said versus in saying it herself.
Her latest trick was last night in the tub. I said “shall we start draining the tub now?” She flicked the drain lever down!
She’s never been able to move the lever before, so that’s cool, but she also knew exactly what I was asking and had an opinion. It fits with her tendency to express herself through actions.
Of course, she followed up by coming out of the tub before the water all drained, getting pajamas on, attempting to monkey into the crib from the bassinet/changing table, then staying in the crib and grabbing her latest bedtime book when I jokingly put her in there. She never goes in immediately after the bath. After she flipped through the pages a couple times, I read the parts of it I could upside down on the pages she flipped through, told her good night, turned off the light, closed the door, and she went to sleep.
What a good kid.
On that note, I need to go back to getting ready to leave. My nephew is fixing brakes in the cars for me today. He rocks!
