To believe that Landis is stupid enough to have done this intentionally. Something about this whole thing just doesn’t make sense to me.
This is nothing different than the Lance Armstrong controversy. Damn French are whining because now for what, 8 times, the Americans have won the Tour De France.

To be fair though, people, in pursuit of a goal of this magnitude, are prone to excesses of all kinds. You cannot win without putting in passion, and this emotion can lead to VERY bad decisions.
