Teething
Sadie will be three months old on the 29th.
She has a tooth. A tooth. And another one obviously coming.
It turns out our suspicions about her recently increasing fussiness were correct. This is really very early to be teething, but hardly unprecedented.
It explains the drooling, which has been going on since she turned two months, if not slightly before then. It explains the failure of the checklist more than once recently. That is: Diaper? No. Hungry? No. Gassy? No. Too hot? No. (Or cold, but she prefers cold and has never really complained identifiably about cold, apart from a look of surprise initially when we took her out on a windy day when it was below feezing. She totally freaks when too hot. Which should make summer interesting, when combined with her joy at being naked.) Obvious pain or other source of discomfort? No.
The whole baby care thing is pretty simple. The basic checklist covers it when there’s a complaint.
Well, the list has been less reliable, and now we are sure why. We knew she was an overachiever, serious about growing up ASAP, but really. Let’s slow down a little…
This make me wonder when I started with the teeth. I was fast with some things, but that I have no idea.
Three months is early, but not THAT early…
And my daughter, at 18 months old, is now pooping on the potty.

Early is good…
