This Little Piggy Stayed Home
I thought kids didn’t become bottomless pits until they were teenagers.
Okay, so it’s not that bad. I was just impressed with the sheer volume Sadie ate yesterday. In total, a 2.5 oz jar of squash, a 2.5 oz container of applesauce, around half of a 2.5 oz container of prunes, and about a tablespoon of rice cereal mixed with the prunes. The squash and 1/3 of the apples were all in one meal last night, after having nursed heavily.
When she’s done, she’ll indicate complete disinterest. Last night the food being completely demolished decided it instead. It’s a good thing we stocked up so well. We still have the equivalent of 28 2.5 oz jars of assorted fruits and veggies, plus the two kinds of cereal. Which is also how we try to stock our own food and household supplies, so it’s easier in times of low cashflow.
She looks like she’s grown dramatically in the last couple days, so maybe that explains the appetite.
Found you through _Brain Fertilizer_. My boy was born 9/21 and loves the butternut squash too. That’s the only non-cereal solid he’s gotten so far. Anyway, Sadie is a cutie!! So much gorgeous hair!
