About

Long, long ago in a blogosphere far, far away, we met in each other's comments. Who would have guessed that three years later we'd be married and blogging about our two daughters? Not us, but here we are!

We’re Back… Yay!

We took Sadie to visit my mother and grandmother, then we went to Super Wal-Mart for a few things.  And managed to keep it under $50… oooh.  I made a CD of pictures and video clips of Sadie for my mother, who has a little-used computer I gave her years ago.  The machine, that had been set aside in favor of a TV in the attic where she has her getaway, wouldn’t read the CD.  So she’ll take it to my sister’s, which will let my sister and her family have a copy of the pictures too.

See, you guys all see a daily picture of Sadie, and others besides, but my mother sees her in person an average of once a month, and has but a few prints, none more recent than about December 17, and is not online.  I figured she could look at dozens that way (well, hundreds; there’s over 300 megabytes worth), and be able to take the CD to the store and get selected prints made.

I brought half the turkey soup, which appears to have come out superb, so we won’t have to eat it all.  Sent a couple bowl’s worth home with my brother, and left several bowl’s worth with my mother and grandmother.  They will feed it to someone, apart from possibly themselves.

But now I am fixing to make the turkey quesedillas Deb requested, figuring the tortillas need to be used and that will be yummy.  We can have sandwiches or whatever later.

I meant to post that I am scheming to attempt to create a cookie similar to Girl Scout Samoas.  I bought another box, and looking at it thought how hard could it be; a shortbread-like cookie, caramel, macaroon-like stuff, and a drizzle of chocolate.  I have all the ingredients, assuming I find out how to make caramel from scratch and not from melting store bought bags of cubic caramel-like candies.  Of course, if anyone has suggestions, they are welcome.  Nor do I have any idea when I will get to it, but I plan to save the Samoas to compare.

We got some stage one food for Sadie tonight, besides the rice cereal we already had, so I believe tonight she gets to try bananas.

Anyone out there paying less than full attention to the game and some to blogs?  Well hello there!  Yeah, I’ll keep an eye on the score and maybe watch some of it, but after alll, it’s only football.
