What was I going to say again?
I had some brilliant observation or another to share, but now that I have a minute to sit down and share it the thought has fled.
I hate it when that happens.
Pregnancy makes me stupid. I live in awe of all women who manage to function more or less normally, because I am the spaciest thing you ever saw when I’m growing a baby. I also become completely overwhelmed by very simple tasks. Something like making a phone call to switch an appointment can devastate me before I’ve even done it. Just the anticipation of those layers of receptionists can reduce me to tears. Can you say no frustration tolerance? Oh, yeah.
Sad, isn’t it?
I was wondering earlier how the cavewomen dealt with it. Either all of the ones like me got eaten by saber-toothed tigers, or they were all so miserable anyway that they didn’t notice. I’m betting on the latter.
I am so glad I’m not a cavewoman. In so many ways.
Hmmm. I think I just illustrated my point, somehow. Heh.
Getting enough sleep? B vitamins? Blood sugar ok? Those are all things that can make you spaced out.
With Sadie around I’m guessing that #1 is the cause of it - never enough sleep.
Posted by on 06/26 at 11:31 PMYeah, the sleep thing is a big issue. It’s not so much Sadie as the weather and the getting up several times a night, but Sadie doesn’t help.
I expect it’ll help quite a bit that we have the air conditioner in the bedroom now.
Funny you should mention B vitamins. I was taking B6 to try to get my cycle straightened around a bit and I’ve just kept taking it. I’ve been suspecting that it may be why I feel considerably better this time around. Now I’ll have to go google. Heh.
Thanks.
Posted by Deb on 06/26 at 11:48 PMHmm. Maybe I need some B6. Because even though I have the HORSEPILL prenatal vities, I feel the same way you describe.
And my “baby” is 14 and at camp!
Pukey, confused easiy and cry at the drop of the hat! There are a LOT of things that I had obviously blocked out.
Damnit.
