What we had for supper tonight
This is a good “meal out of stuff that’s just sort of floating around in the cupboards” kind of recipe, though it’s become such a favorite around here that we actually plan for it.
Tuna Beans
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup Bisquick
1& 1/2 cup milk
2 6oz cans tuna, drained
1/2 bag frozen peas (or a can of peas)
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
pepper to taste
Melt the butter over medium heat. Add the Bisquick, salt, and pepper and blend. Stir in the milk; bring the mixture to a boil while stirring. Boil for one minute (adjust time for desired thickness), then lower heat and add tuna and peas and heat until peas are hot.
Serve over mashed potatoes or toast.
I’ll have to give that a try, sounds good. Sort of a Tuna a la King variation.

Learned it from my mom, who learned it from her mom, and have taught my son and grandson to make it. We use regular flour but I’ll give bisquick a try.
