Where’s Ian?: An Invitation to Speculate
Ian Hamet has all but disappeared. Why? It’s a mystery. He says it had nothing to do with his protest reporting, but that doesn’t rule out sordid or intriguing explanations for what has him - ahem - shanghaied from his blogging.
What we have here folks are some great dramatic elements: An American blogger, living exotically on a shoestring in China, looking for work, in the midst of unrest and attractive young Chinese women, prevented from blogging by circumstances beyond and/or careening out of his control.
So I invite speculative comments or blog posts that posit the nefarious and/or stimulating events in Ian’s life that have kept him largely blog-free these past few weeks. Perhaps Ian himself would judge the entries if he ever returns, but if his fate is still unlearned, I’ll do so. The winner gets mentioned in a post announcing the winner, and a link if the winner has a blog.
