You Say Potato, I Say Yuck
We sprung potatoes on Sadie last night. Deb saved a little out with no milk, butter, etc., mashed up for Sadie.
She hated them. Even warmed up and thinned down. We should have had the camera, because it was probably even better than the ewww… gross face and shudder when I tried giving her bananas.
Oh well. Not really unexpected, but it was worth a try. We rewarded her with apricots (which are mixed with pears and apples), which she dove into after being suspicious and continuing to shudder through the first spoonful of those.
No milk, no butter? You fiends!
Posted by John on 03/23 at 05:09 PMtry mixing the potatoes with the fruit. I’ll bet she doesn’t like the lack of sweet fruit taste.
Posted by caltechgirl on 03/23 at 05:55 PMYeah, no milk no butter. We’re truly evil. Heh. Actually you’re supposed to wait quite a while for dairy now, and since I was sensitive as a kid I’m content with that guideline.
CTG, I was thinking that it might be good with apples. The sweet potatoes sure are!
Posted by Deb on 03/23 at 06:01 PMThe least you could have done is put in some Butter Buds or added a little gravy. even I won’t touch potatoes without a little something to add flavor!
